I might follow your advices, look at seatguru and maybe look at the first rows of economy cabin...
this time we'll save money, and for 2024, for a direct flight to Asia, maybe BKK or another destination, go for business class

because it does not make sense to 'waste" so much money for a 1-week trip while i would be willing to indulge myself with better trip conditions for a 2-2,5 weeks vacations

btw, my daughter is quite sensitive to noise, so that's why i mentioned travelling in coach with plenty of people, the more people you have in the cabin, the noisier it would be, especially if it's packed with families. On our last trip to Asia, she wasn't born yet, we were very happy to travel on business class, the economy class was full of babies crying in the middle of the night. My girl sleeps better with no noise, that's why I am a bit worried about this first long-haul flight.

I am easy going when it comes to travelling, but ever since she is there, we try to find the best solutions for transportation and accommodations. It will be much easier for us when she'll grow up but for now, it's not. A year and a half ago we went to Portugal, at this time, she still needed 2 naps a day (one in the morning and one in the afternoon), she missed the morning one as we flew 2h30 from NTE to LIS and the flight was a nightmare (for us but also for everyone nearby).
