add to thqt if your EDI is badly disruoted then its likely oyher flights will be to some people booked on the later flight will misa it too
i am aware of that. I think maybe staying over night is my best bet to avoid any issues or delays as with those I’m staying with over in seattle they advised to me to arrive before a certain time. The 0940 gets me there comfortably in time for that. I don’t know if Heathrow have staff (or BA for that matter) who will get you to the next gate fast tracked or priority if you have a close connection (or arrived a little later than scheduled) as I read they had in past but that was before covid times. So I may be best to stick to overnight.
the Edinburgh flight over the last few days had arrived early/late/ on time so a real mixed bag… it’s not entirely reliable.
