I have an upcoming stay here in Sept for a convention. I spoke to someone at the Grand Hyatt Atlanta yesterday.

I actually switched my reservation from the Hyatt Regency to the Grand Hyatt yesterday. The Grand Hyatt just has better benefits and perks vs the Hyatt Regency, even though my commute time will be longer. My conference is at the Georgia World Congress Center which puts me walking distance from Hyatt Regency. However, I want to be comfortable and pampered - which the Grand Hyatt will give to me.

I don't mind the 35-40 min commute via MARTA for better accommodations.

The Grand Club is still closed, but they are doing the $25 pp credit (Max 2 people?) at the Onyx. Disappointing about the Grand Club still, but at least there is compensation. The Hyatt Regency is giving nothing with their club closed
