I have been so impressed with my son’s Google Fi service traveling all over Europe this summer. Not a single problem. So now I’m thinking of switching the rest of my family over to the Simply Unlimited plan (half what I’m paying ATT!) and then upgrading when we do our month of summer international travel (then downgrading). Site says you can switch as often as you want. Anyone have experience doing that? Easy? I’m a little worried about coverage with TMobile and Sprint networks, but for half the price seems worth a try. And then the added major bonus of seamless international usage.
If I did switch the rest of us to Google Fi, could I absorb his account into mine? If so, how? I’d rather be the account holder than him. Or could I add us to his account and then transfer account holder?
One thing about Fi is that it is still not quite 100% working with iPhones. When I had Fi, I didn't switch anyone else on my plan to Fi because they all got iPhones. Here is what Fi page said about iPhone:
"Your Apple device can't make calls or text over Wi-Fi. When you travel outside of the US, tethering and Wi-Fi hotspot options aren't available from your Apple device."
