Curious if you took your binoculars or not - was this a problem even if you are just transiting? I am going to S Africa on safari and will be doing a lot of bird watching. My return is from Seychelles and then through ADD. I encountered this issue when transiting through CAI where they wouldn't allow binocs in your hand baggage.
