I stayed recently on a 169 EUR rate when my normal hotels were either sold out or over 600 bucks. It was ok, but I probably won't return unless I have to.

The bar and breakfast were lively. I was never asked for my room number at breakfast, but it was free so I didn't sweat it. They do have scrambled eggs and sausage, a coffee machine and decent croissants.

Although there was a sign saying they would only clean the room after the 3rd day, my room was cleaned each day while I was at work. I guess that was my Titanium upgrade because I didn't get anything else other than breakfast and a fortune cookie at check in. On the paper inside it said I got a free cappuccino. In my room the AC worked and the bathroom was fine.

Although the neighborhood isn't pretty, you can find some treasures. I walked down ugly streets, past one homeless encampment, and found this place which was really fun with excellent tapas. https://www.restaurant-aupassage.fr/ And closer to the hotel on Blvd Beaumarchais the Cafe Creole is a fun spot.

Overall I would rate this hotel as pretty much the same as an Ibis Styles. I wonder if it was an Ibis before Marriott took it over?
