The whole return has been a mess (but appreciate I’m not the only one who is experiencing this and many a lot worse)

I was due to be on BA296 on 7th July but BA cancelled that back in early May - still not sure why.

I could spend an extra day in the office, so changing my departure by 24 hrs wasn’t a major issue, but it did mean getting a 12.55 connection - I could at least see the family by Saturday afternoon.

Now my options are:
- Fly a day early (7th July) from ORD with AA via LHR - and cancel all Friday meetings
- Fly earlier on 8th July with BA on BA294 and try and get the 08.20 connection from LHR (not a fan of early red eyes)
- Keep on BA296 on Friday night and accept downgrade at 16.10
- Keep on BA 296 on Friday night and get the 18:05 from LHR on Saturday evening….

Options 2 & 3 seem the best. Think I’ll just accept the jetlag and get the earlier flight on Friday on BA294 (and then hope that flight isn’t delayed as I’ll definitely miss the 08:20 connection LHR-AMS)
