Thank you everyone for your responses. I haven’t had status or Qantas Club for a while - even prior to the pandemic.


I was able to book a HBA-YVR return for October using classic rewards. For the return flight from YVR-SYD-HBA I was able to purchase 5 additional bags for $157.50 AUD each. Now I just have the joy of getting all the bags to YVR and then through customs in SYD and transferring them to the domestic flight.
