Broadly they take more time since the processing time is longer. If you are well organised and can pull out laptop and liquids quickly, since you were prepared in advance, and put them at the top of the bag for rapid removal, the CT scanners are almost always going to be slower since they may well need to do a 3d analysis of the bag/laptop. Competency counts for more than anything in this game, which is why the First Wing at T5 is always going to beat the CT scanner.
