Not sure why Windsor is being pushed so hard over Central London. There’s not much in it in terms of travel time.

There’s no reason I can think of to visit Windsor over Central London. Sure there’s the idea of seeing somewhere new, but it doesn’t seem like the OP has exhausted Central London by any means.
