I feel like you've answered your own question. But if it were me, I'd take the longer layover, especially transiting YYZ now. For two reasons: making your next flight, and enjoying some real food before the longer haul. The 789s are nice but at the end of the day it doesn't outweigh the other issues in my mind, over a 7M8.
