I have noticed the new low end brsnds-Tru and Home 2, have had surprisingly poor maintenance and upkeep for most of them having been a few years old at the most. I believe after a handful of stays at both within the past couple years, I noticed simple things that would be okay at a Days Inn but poor at a place twice the cost or more with these new brands. Other brands like LaQuinta and Comfort are stepping up their game and providing similar product for less than the new Hilton options. Honestly, I see a lot of mediocrity (cleanliness, maintenance, upkeep) as of recently no matter where or what I stay at so maybe my expectations are, haha!
