22 euro is fine for Valletta, it is about the expected fare (not sure about Hyatt). You can also prebook elsewhere for 18-20 euros (google it). I got scammed by our hotel and paid 30 euro. You should download the Bolt app (Uber equivalent) and use that in Malta, including the airport, it may end up being cheaper (around 15-18 euro). Bolt is very good in Malta, superior to Uber/Lyft (newer cars, cheap fares, and very quick response).
