Allow me to tag on this thread to inquire as to the best option:

we are booked JFK- DOH QR 704 for next February, and onward QR 670 to MLE. The connection is 1hour and 10 minutes. J class.

We have checked luggage, carry on, and a kid.

Should we switch DOH- MLE to QR 674 which gives us about 2 hour connection?

How is the on time performance of QR704 in winter?

Reason we are booked on QR 670 is because we want to build in some buffer between arrival at MLE and the cut off time of last sea plane. The theory is we should arrive before 3PM to catch the last sea plane of the day at MLE to the island (in our case, le meridien).
