Does your company's single rate code include LDW for both business and leisure rentals? If not, does National ask you to specify whether you are renting for business purposes or leisure purposes when you make a reservation?
Because the rate (whether it was used correctly by the employee or not) includes insurance coverage - National was paid for insurance. The question of whether the employee was entitled to use it is an employment question, not a car rental question.
My company's rate code for National includes LDW and doesn't ask about business vs leisure. We also have a code for Hertz, that one does ask whether it's a leisure rental, and removes the included LDW if it is.
