Correct, you cannot assume you won't be security screened based upon previous experience, the flights that get to dodge security vary day by day.
Also, for practical reasons an airbridge gate is needed for security bypass, and you get tipped out onto the main concourse rather than go up to the mezzanine level for security clearance. If you get parked up on the apron the bus arrivals gate is only configured with a super long escalator up to security, but this is not a disaster as it's just 30secs walk to security, whereas some airbridge gates could have a long walk.
Which gate you arrive at, airbridge or apron, and the gate from which you need to depart, and if you win the security bypass lottery all influence your potential transit time.
That is not always the case when arriving on a apron. Previously (on the 15th), my QR8 got parked on E15 remote stand and get transported to gate E19 for all transit passengers. My QR817 from HKG on October last year parked on 502 remote stand and get ransported to gate D18. Skipped transfer security for both times. My last transfer security was March 2020. So there's no guarantee for remote stand arrival as well.
