Hey all,
This is going to sound absolutely insane. I am considering going to Madeira. However, I was in Tenerife a few months ago, and apparently they have some unique seasoning in their food that downright disgusted me. I'm talking...worst smell of my life to the point it made me insanely sick. I basically had to forfeit the trip, eat sushi and supermarket pasta, and just tough it out. To this day, I am still disgusted by the thought of it even. Some people close to me looked it up, and apparently it is unique to the islands there.
Given that Madeira is near the Canary Islands, I'm hoping someone can assure me if the same seasoning is so profound in Madeira.
