Hello! I am flying Aer Lingus for the first time after transferring points to Avios. I then booked a reward flight from Dublin to Spain. The booking email from Avios says a 20kg checked bag is included, but I just want the 10kg carry-on bag. When I put the confirmation code in Aer Lingus, it says it's a Saver Fare which includes only a 10kg checked bag. With all the airport chaos, we only want to do carry-on and avoid queues. I sent a Facebook message and Avios replied that a carry-on is included. However, I feel like this could not be the case once I get to the gate and try to board. Does anyone have experience with an Avios award and carry-on baggage (and it saying Saver fare)? I want to avoid any queues and drama at the airport while boarding. There's no way for me to pay online with Aer Lingus either for a carry-on bag, it just says No Bag and No Seat. Any experience with Avios award flight and carry-on bag included? Thank you!
