This is wildly annoying - has anyone had success with Customer Service challenging this?
Also - the automatic assignment is based on order of online check-in, from the back of the plane. We stayed up late, used to American/European 24-hr free ticket assignment system - only to find that being first, we got put together in last row.

Absolutely ridiculous. EcoFly used to be applicable to domestic tickets only and doesn't include any free seat selection on check-in.
Unbelievable TK applies this to tickets booked weeks or months ahead (that had free seat selection upon online check-in included).
Flying to IKA on Saturday, going to report back how online check-in goes tomorrow....
