2 nights on very low Healthcare rate this past weekend. Did not check-in on-line. Arrived about 10:30pm, 3 hours later than scheduled. Walked past C19 exit hoping for a more centralized exit, next exit is near C26, both are approximately equidistant walking to/from the hotel. Walk to hotel involves traversing 2 parking structures and an enclosed pedestrian bridge over a road with several short flights of stairs. (Annoying as in each parking structure one must walk down a flight of stairs then cross the parking level then up a flight of stairs to the exact same level where one entered the parking structure. Not sure why both parking structures were built with common pedestrian transit levels up (or down) 1 level. It is good exercise, particularly in usual Dallas summertime 90-100 degree humid weather.)
VIP suite, exactly as pictured on the website. (1,280-square-feet, one king bed in separate bedroom, a balcony, large living space with sleeper sofa, kitchenette with full-size refrigerator, gigantic accessible bathroom with large open tub and separate curtained walk-in shower stall.) TOO big for me this weekend (expecting minimal time in room), went to front desk, requested different room closer to elevator. Given accessible room on 2nd floor twice as far from the elevator. Back to front desk, offered another room which was being cleaned, asked to go back to VIP suite, done. Other than bedroom and bathroom barely used the rest of the suite.
Signs on parking structure stairwell closest to the hotel state there’s a jogging track on the 6th level. At the top of that stairwell there’s a poorly done schematic map indicating recommended jogging route (“as marked”) around the top level. But there is NOT a jogging route anywhere. No painted pathway, no separated path, no nothing. Quite annoying as getting to that level requires being in the sun for a few minutes and jogging through the other 5, some mostly empty, levels of the parking structure entirely in the shade which made a gigantic difference on a 95 degree day. Actually felt cooler on the lower levels (compared to the upper levels).
Didn’t visit the pool. Small, poorly equipped fitness center, no recumbent bicycle machine (2 Peloton bikes instead), no cable weight machine capable of dozens of different exercises. Nice breakfast buffet (included for Globs) with omelet station, no smoked salmon. Paid biz center one level down from lobby, single free computer/printer at edge of check-in desk.
