OP seems to be concerned about status with DL, not transferring RDMs between spouses' accounts. However, IIRC KE still offers a "family" FF account in their program. OP should check this, although I don't think it's what he wants.

Note also that Reserve card MQMs (15,000 MQMs for $30,000 spend) can be gifted to anyone, including one's spouse, although the MQD waiver goes to the FF account of the person who is the (primary) cardholder.
