As stated upthread those are crew seats and contractually provided for crew usage. Just because they may not be in use does not mean that anyone can use them. They normally also have a business class seat for crew rest on some flights depending on the aircraft. The new 787s have a crew sleep area upstairs but that is not suitable for sitting far as I know.
While I have sympathy for your medical condition, you need to make decisions accordingly.
