I am following this thread and remember an earlier thread about like problems at AMS.
I leave 7/3/22 for WAW going through CDG. My return on 7/8/22 is WAW-AMS-MSP-OKC. My AMS connection is 1 hr 45 minutes then I layover for 6 hr 25 minutes at MSP.
This is an economy fare with GUCs to book D1/AF/KLM biz on all segments.
I called DL yesterday asking what would need to happen where I would not need to locate new upgrade inventory for the return and/or be forced to pay a PS fare.
I only talked to one agent, and she was adamant that DL would only rebook me on flights that lack upgrade inventory.
I asked what rules would apply for all these DL waivers about AMS. I noticed this morning that such a waiver was extended for 6/20-2/26: Amsterdam Operational Constraints (delta.com)
The agent said it would depend on the kind of 'waiver' in play. She did not explain rules related to the current waivers.
Can someone update me on what rules would let me simply move to a better connection at AMS or move over to CDG even though there is no upgrade inventory on any of these flights?
