Ibis Amsterdam Airport

- Name of the hotel: Ibis Amsterdam Airport

- What is your ALL status? Platinum

- Were you (or for multi-stayers were you generally) happy with the hotel/stay? No.

- Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive? Standard room and that's what I received.

- How are the rooms? Usual Ibis room.

- What was good and what was bad?

Good: Shuttle bus service to AMS airport

Bad: Way too many.

1) The loyalty recognition was very poor as was the service at the front desk with no can do attitude.
2) Untrained front desk staff plus a stupid manager named Justin with hypocrite smile made the whole check in process too long and very unsatisfying.
3) Bar was closed so the only available place was the take away shop. I had problems to use the drink voucher there since the clerk was not aware of its existence.
4) No one in this hotel knew anything and the only person willing to provide answers was the woman in the gift shop.
5) There are big problems in hiring workers but it is no excuse the rudeness of the staff.

- Did you get club lounge access? How was the lounge? No lounge.

- What about welcome drinks, welcome amenities or any other special perks? I picked one beer from the take away shop.

- Value for $ or Vouchers? Would you return? No and no. One night was ~210 eur.
