Apologies for my choppy syntax - I did mean to say that she did indeed direct the choice speicifcally to me. This is in clear contrast to a scenario in which an FA will give the choices to both passengers simultaneously.
I'm particularly sensitive to this becauee of my years flying as a nonrev (on CO, mostly on company business). There, the FAs in F would specifically (and discreetly) skip over upgraded non-revs. Sometimes, the seatmate would take umbrage and say to me "it wasn't fair that she skipped you" (I wasn't required to wear a badge when flying).
