Finally arrived today, a full week after completing the transaction. Significantly reduces the value of transferring when it takes so long. A week is an eternity in award availability time.

Marriott really needs to fix this. Just a few years ago points transferred almost instantly/within 24 hours. It's especially egregious that United transfers seem to take longer than average even though they supposedly have a partnership.
It basically makes the transfer program useless if you're trying to book an immediate award.

Chase transfers just about instantly, and Marriott and United are both partners there. No idea why Marriott can't make this a real-time transaction.
Overall, I get incredibly annoyed anymore at vendors that have long wait times for things that should be automated / instant. It is just an expected table stakes now.
