To answer my own question, we ended up staying at the SpringHill Suites in the Downtown/Historic District and it was a good functional choice. Room was clean (which was my biggest worry based on all the bad TripAdvisor reviews all the Marriott lower tier properties seemed to get recently) and the staff was great. Nothing really to complain about and the only small issue we had was that the valet situation was a bit of a zoo when we arrived but that’s because 1 guy was trying to put away a lot of vehicles, All in all a decent use of our free night vouchers since all the other alternatives were above 50k.
