If you go back to the west coast under better circumstances, just north of Limerick, near the airport you will find Bunratty Castle and a great pub, Durty Nellies.

Further north is the little market town of Ennis which is lovely: the hotel in the town centre, The Old Ground is well worth a visit.

Further north is Galway: a really lovely city with a slightly Bohemian flavour to it.
