Excellent write up by jphripjah on the Conrad Punta Mita. I too just got back (yesterday) and was going to provide an update as it seems not much action happened in Spring here. I will only add a few items.

My stay was two adults and two kids (11) using points/certs. I too would not pay $700++ for this hotel, but found that it provided a reasonable rate of return on certs. We were booked into a standard double queen, upgraded to a Ocean View Double Queen which was on the 4th floor (which is really the 5th floor by US standards) of the main building. My room too had a connecting room door. Since I had my stay split (i.e. 4 sperate reservations) I figured the app would get me upgraded into a casa. I asked at check in but was denied. Still though my view was the same as the entry way lobby (just higher) and provided an excellent full view of the property.

Upon check out, I had an issue with missing F&B credit at check out, due to the split reservations. But it was not an issue and quickly resolved.

I rented a small SUV from PVR for 4 nights, cost was $300. $15 more for gas. We too went to Sayulita and Punta Mita and the 4 Seasons (for dinner one night) so we got good value from the rental car. I also had my golf clubs and 4 suitcases so we would have never been able to get an uber anyway and I never saw an SUV uber.

FYI - I tried multiple times to play the golf course at the St. Regis/4 Seasons - it didn't happen for me. The ST. Regis said they sell day passes but when I tried once in Mexico, they backtracked on that statement. I ended up playing at the on property course behind the hotel. Conrad was no help.

I would highly recommend dinner at La Pescadora in Punta Mita and dinner at Bahia at the the 4 Seasons. Kids loved both, especially the game room at the 4 seasons - tons of xbox, ps5 stations etc. It put the kids club at Conrad to shame. The beach though is not a nice as the Conrad.

In case anyone is a fan of the Housewives of Beverly Hills, as my wife is, they just aired 3 episodes where the ladies stayed at the Conrad last November.
