I agree it's not operational, but as a person commented above, it is a marketing problem. Delta sold themselves as a step above the other US carriers for years. They still charge for it, but do not deliver the product anymore. And have not for some time. Basic Economy to Comfort Plus, and even Premium Comfort on a recent international flight, are all the same. THAT, is a marketing failure.
