Sometimes I wonder if people overthink things, I'm just asking for personal experiences that indicate that you should offload your carry-ons onto someone else.
If you packed your items to your perfection then expect that to get messed up and you aren't going to want to put it all back together. Ironically though they might ask
"you have nothing on you to take back home? how long were you here" and you could lie and say you brought nothing or shipped it back or say your wife has it all, and they'll go looking for her bags. You didn't do anything illegal, just could cause a bigger headache if the agent actually cares about their job.
