Other countries requiring secondary inspection at the gate?
Besides the US, do any other countries require airlines to maintain secondary screening at departure gates for flights to their country?
I annoyingly got "randomly" (not SSSS though) selected for the first time ever at AMS when boarding a DL flight back home. Why can't PreCheck/GE be used to get out of these superfluous inspections? Overall, I received more scrutiny on a flight back to my home country than when I was leaving Israel, famous for their intense security procedures.
And if you're going to have me remove my shoes, you might as well do something with them other than just looking at them. Otherwise, what was the point besides being more of a hassle?
