Either the credit needs to be raised to reflect actual price (especially with inflation) or a free breakfast option covered by the credit needs to be provided.
Thankfully my bill reflected the net price on the restaurant charge (it didn’t break out the full price and then the credit)
I was at a DT in Chico, CA this week. They had their menu which listed several items in the $13-17 range, and their buffet which was listed at $21. However, as the host handed the menu out he said, “You can order off the menu, or get the buffet. The buffet’s actually $13.xx plus tax, so if you have a Hilton Honors Food &Beverage credit, it will cover the buffet.”
Sure enough, they had set the price so that it came to $15.00, including tax. They just need to reprint their menus.
