Ryanair wrongly thinks I booked through an OTA and denies refund
Hi
The most bizarre thing happened to me. Ryanair cancelled my flight about two weeks ago. When I called to ask for a refund, they told me that their system had identified my booking as having been made though an OTA (Online Travel Agency) and that I needed to fill out a form. This is simply untrue. I had actually used their website to book my tickets. When I told them that, they insisted and they kept asking me to fill out that form. Eventually, they put me through to another person who said that he would submit a refund request on my behalf and that the refund would be issued within 7-10 working days. That was yesterday night. However, I received an email from Ryanair this morning reiterating their OTA claim and asking me again to fill out that form. Btw it is impossible to fill out the form as it asks me to upload my booking confirmation from the ...OTA, whereas I obviously haven't got one.
Has this happened to anyone else?
I'm really at a loss here and Im afraid that I am going to lose my money....
