My own pocket, not paid yet, most flights with a stop are close to £2000 this summer anyway and I won't fly anyone else to Asia except Cathay Pacific. From past experience I have noticed BA's route planners and Pilots are happy to burn more (expensive) fuel to take safer routes well before other airlines respond to world events.

Hence my concern at the cost cutting in catering. I knew transatlantic was a bit of a shambles but not the ultra long haul asian routes. On WT flight to Tokyo in 2019 we had two hot meals and ice cream was handed out mid flight!
