In WTP a couple of weeks ago the second meal into Singapore was half a sandwich and a small Kit Kat. The crew member apologised saying she was embarrassed to serve it.
Back into Heathrow for breakfast it wa similar, I think a chicken roll and Oreo’s.
Crew on my recent flight to/from SFO said exactly the same. They said if I was still hungry they had plenty left.
The US catered return was even worse. A (very) cold turkey & cheese oatmeal roll is all I've ever dreamt of for breakfast. It would've made for an acceptable door stop.
