You have to request this before officially checking out. If you do this and they have to make changes, the changes can be made immediately.

Once you check out, any changes that have to be made take 7-10 days. I've had who-knows-how-many holds placed on my CC while they sort out the F&B credit after checking out. It's a nightmare to keep track of; I couldn't imagine the headache when involving a corporate credit card or Concur.
