SO an interesting datapoint - was approved for 100k offer yesterday - I've had the PRG a while ago, and always assumed I wasn't eligible. I couldn't really track down if it was 7 years since I cancelled it, but earlier in the year I tried for the GOld thinking it had to be long enough - and got pop up-jail (not necessarily for having the card in the past, but I guess too many new bonuses on other Amex cards - I had recently added a second Biz Plat and Biz Gold). Well - approved yesterday - pretty happy, just a random DP that I got out of pop-up jail in a few months. I didn't really change any spending patterns.
