Checking in today to an HGI.

Got an email blast about 6 hours ago from the GM saying the restaurant was closed tonight and would "likely be closed" tomorrow for breakfast. No explanation. Mind you, the restaurant is closed on Wednesdays and Saturdays anyways.

At check-in, the front desk agent confirms they had a nasty water pipe burst last week and are working to get the restaurant repaired. At least a dozen workers pulling up flooring, fixing drywall, etc. Fans and de-humidifiers everywhere.

Very unfortunate situation. Will check out the attached Homewood Suites breakfast in the morning.
