While the massive lines are not new. this email and text are (to me) (TB) tomorrow. What is interesting is the mention of Nexus/Priority

Attn: Customers on flights departing at 9:00am or earlier from Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) to the U.S.

Security and customs processing times are expected to be extremely long for your upcoming flight.

To minimize any disruption to your travel plans, we recommend you arrive 3 hours* prior to your flight’s departure.

Checking a bag or have special baggage needs (e.g., pets)?
As the cut-off time is 90 minutes prior to departure, please ensure to leave yourself extra time to drop off your baggage and line up for security and customs ahead of this deadline to avoid missing your flight. We are unable to process bags after the cut-off time.

Only have carry-on baggage? Or are you a Priority or Nexus customer?
You must still be checked in and in line for security and customs prior to the 90-minute cut-off time otherwise you may miss your flight. Unfortunately, we are unable to make any exceptions.

Once you’ve arrived, and checked your baggage or special items (if any), please proceed to Lounge 15 to await security processing. This system has been put in place during peak hours to help us manage these longer than usual wait times.

Please note if you arrive less than 2 hours prior to departure, you’re likely to miss your flight.

We really appreciate your understanding and patience. We recognize that this is an inconvenience however this will lessen the stress of missing a flight or being rushed.

Sincerely,
Air Canada

*If you’re travelling to the U.S., you must clear U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) prior to departure in Canada. Please note that pre-board security screening and Customs and Border Protection (CBP) at Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) open at 4:30am.
