The system takes the certificate that is closest to expiry and uses that first. So presumably you had that one tied up with another reservation that you subsequently cancelled.

But if it was a genuine IT glitch, then it can't hurt to contact Hyatt. They may or may not make a gesture, even though the certificate itself definitely cannot be extended.
