Thanks all. Flight was EWR--> LAX on a 787 or EWR-->SNA on a 737. Going to Newport so might quicker drive and cheaper rental car from SNA vs LAX and slightly better flight time.. and less busy airport. But think the 787 via LAX is the winner here.
