Hyatt Place comp breakfast varies by location. In some locations you have to show World of Hyatt membership in order to receive it.
Also hotels across all brands are not yet serving breakfast in the US at random locations due to "COVID." If it isn't COVID, it is a staff shortage excuse.
At this point you need to look at recent reviews for every hotel you are considering. I stress this fact- a hotel with high overall reviews is meaningless. I have gotten burned recently multiple times just seeing a high overall rating, booking the place, and encountering major problems and then when I am in the room not sleeping due to filth/odor/bad HVAC I am reading recent reviews and realize they are all negative.... but it is too late for that to matter... in my case, this won't happen again and I've learned my lesson.
