Hey Guys, received what I think is a good explaination on this 3 month issue from Hawaiian Airlines.
" we responded to calls from individuals who are members of other programs and interested in switching to Hawaiian Airlines if we could provide them with the same status as their current carrier. Inquiries were due to program and flight changes to other airlines and their programs. In response to these call, we offered an elite membership, Pualani Gold or Pualani Platinum, for a limited time, based on membership level in another program. A minimum of three (3) months was required to get a feel of their travel habits so enrollment to this program ended 9/30/04. Prospective members were asked to provide us with proof of membership in another airlines’ elite program and commit to travel X segments or X miles on Hawaiian Airlines scheduled flights by the end of the year. The required segments and miles were predetermined through September 30th which was the last day we offered this.
These individuals were enrolled in HawaiianMiles and issued a corresponding elite membership till the end of 2004. Each person received a verbal and written notification of the number of segments or miles that were required to maintain their status for 2005. We are monitoring their revenue travel through the end of 2004. If they qualify for 2005 membership, their qualification for 2006 status will be the normal travel requirements. "
You can take any of this, if you find anything useful out of it, and put it to the guide thread. Haven't decided or finalized the issue about Ms. Sambueno yet. But atleast the one who sent this info to me is more civilized.
