Actually I'm GGL since 2015. However my last flight was in 2020, after which many destination countries closed their boarders due to covid-19 prevention. Since then BA did extend my GGL status twice (until 2023).

The fee in € instead of £ is based on the fact, that I reside in a Euro-country.
