Is there a general consensus for best or most luxurious Hyatt properties in Bali? I may split between two properties, so beach vs mountain analysis would be helpful. On an absolute basis, my first impression seems to be that Alila Uluwatu is the leader in the clubhouse.
Thoughts?
I did a 2 night stay at the Alilia Uluwatu last July. I wish I stayed longer. I hopped around Bali at the Rimba Jimbaran/Ayana Bali, Conrad Bali, and Alila U.
The property is luxurious. I received a comp upgrade to a 2 bedroom villa I didn't even need all that room, but I appreciated the amazing ocean views from the Master Bedroom and the pool villa. Service was absolutely exquisite and my butler did everything and more. I heard that beach is beautiful, but I didn't make it down the steps. I'm absolutely terrified of heights. I wish they had a lift/elevator like the Rimba Jimbaran/Ayana Bali to head down to their beach.
I did a full day trip to Ubud..I'm glad that I spent the day there as I wasn't impressed at all. Too low-key commercialized for me. And that's coming from who is a born and raised NYer (I still live in NYC)
