Quicker plane taxiing times with new LGA DL?
My other new-Delta-LGA observation was that my flight back to LGA--from touching ground to at-gate, was a much quicker taxiing process than normal on a Thursday afternoon.
Sample "n" of 1, so YMMV, but there was less traffic on the taxiways, no need to pause for 3 minutes because planes ahead of us were waiting to turn in somewhere, or waiting for a plane to back-up, etc.
Is there reason to believe that the enhancements improve this time element for DL flights? (I understand the main terminal's arched walkways are designed to improve plane traffic for AA/UA/SW/etc.)
Is there a knock-on impact to plane taxiing traffic overall, or was I simply lucky?
