There are many datapoints on various threads of people here having multiple biz Plats and biz Golds, 3-4 of each. Given that number of cards it might be challenging to have activity on all of them. Would it be considered risky in any way to accept a retention offer, have zero further activity on the card, and close the account a year later? Thank you.
I believe that's fine (I do it). Just make sure you keep the card for a full 12 months, since that's one of the terms they get you to accept as part of offering the retention bonus.
