Does anyone know:
1) the current process for reserving a paid palapa at the Marriott Stellaris - including how far in advance you can reserve one, and for how many days at a time?
2). Are beach chairs and umbrellas available to rent from outside vendors if you can’t get a palapa?

I am considering the Marriott Stellaris for a February trip, but concerned about the availability of palapa or beach chairs and umbrellas - even if willing to pay for them. I understand that free palapas are very scarce and the reservation system for those, but I have seen contradictory reports about the system to pay to reserve a palapa - whether you can count on getting one, and how far in advance you can reserve one (the online system provided in a prior post in this thread says you must be on property to reserve, I’ve seen one review saying you can reserve 3 days at a time, but only 24 hours in advance, while other reviews advise reserving well in advance for your full stay). I have also seen one mention of outside vendors renting chairs and umbrellas on the beach - is it true that if you can’t get a palapa, you can still rent chairs and an umbrelIa? I can handle paying for a palapa or umbrella, but the resort would be a definite no-go if I could not count on being able to sit on the beach in the shade.
