Replacement AU card lost in mail. Chase cancelled primary card without notice.
so i went on the chase website a couple of weeks ago, to get a replacement chase sapphire preferred for my wife, whose card was damaged. 2 weeks later it hasn't arrived, the person on the phone said something about an alternate address blah blah (of which i dont have an alternate address). anyways, so they said oh, we can send out a new one. i was like ok fine. i tried to use my current chase card, and it got declined. apparently, my current card was shut down due to "fraud", of which i was never told it would be shut down.
i called back and they said oh, since the replacement card got "lost in the mail", we closed that card and gave you a new account and 2 new cards are on the way. they said they will give me a tracking number for a UPS delivery for them, of which i havent gotten it yet.
does this feel like the run around? i feel like if i dont get these cards, i will just pay my remaining balance and get a new card somewhere else.
thoughts?
